Lucy Rantzen

I trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA), Leamington Spa, England, which was founded by J R Worsley in the 1950s to pass on the style of acupuncture he had learnt in Southeast Asia. This style of acupuncture is known as Classical, Traditional or Five Element Acupuncture. My main teachers at CTA were Alan Hext, Niki Bilton and Ian Florian. J R Worsley was living in the United States at the time and made annual teaching visits to CTA.

In my twenties I was working in publishing and on the recommendation of my acupuncturist I visited the College where she had trained. The nature of the five elements and how acupuncture works seemed both practical and mysterious to me and I applied to study there. I graduated with a Licentiate of Acupuncture (LicAc) in 1995 and have worked as a Five Element Acupuncturist in Sydney ever since. I love working with this style of acupuncture and seeing the beneficial changes it can facilitate in people.

I am registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia under AHPRA and am a professional member of AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association).
